1. Are you gay? Answer:
I don't consider myself gay or
straight. No-sexual is my joking term for my self, but I would be
closer to asexual.
2. Do you date men or woman?
Answer: I have
dated men, but more as a friend. I am primarily attracted to woman,
usually the sporty type or butch femme. If he is cute, I consider
it.
3. What is Intersex?
Answer: Intersex is a nicer and now
more commonly used term for hermaphrodite. A person who has the
physical characteristics of both male and female. There are many
variations. I am an XX/XY or what some people call a mosaic.
4. Can you have sex with yourself?
Answer: Of
course, can't every one have sex with themselves? If you are
thinking about having intercourse with myself, no. I have dominant
male organs and dormant female organs.
5. What's it like to be Intersex?
Answer: I can
only answer for myself. Not finding out till I was in my early
thirties and looking back, it was like knowing about both male and
female, but not being a part of either one. Everything seemed to be
a gray area for me. I relate more closely with female though.
6. Do you hate you penis or body?
Answer: Unlike
many of my transsexual friends, I do not hate my body, but would
feel more comfortable if I matched my mind and soul more than what I
do. I don't hate my genitals, I just don't realize there there. They
don't matter much to me.
7. How can you be Intersex, you had a child?
Answer: I thought
the same thing to justify I was not. This is a myth, not all
Intersex are sterile, even though I am now and it was a miracle that
I have a child. She'll never know how rare she is.
8. Don't you have a choice?
Answer: I don't think anyone has a
choice in who they really are. It is not a lifestyle, it is my life.
My lifestyle is that I live alone with a dog and cat, and like to
ride motorcycles.
9. Do you plan to have surgery?
Answer: Yes, but
not for the same reasons as a transsexual. One of my main reasons is
the pee normal. I have severe genital atrophy, which means my penis,
for what it is, has moved up into the body cavity without help from
me. A common condition for people with severe hormone imbalances.
The other is to be more normal. My penis is virtually useless, so I
could lead a more normal life with a vagina. I see myself more as a
woman than a man anyway.
10. Do you go to work as a woman?
Answer: I am
pretty much androgynous at work, despite my hair being below my
shoulders, pieced ears, and little to no body hair. They think I am
a feminine gay man at work, but mostly because I eat lunch with a
friend, who happens to be gay. I do plan to transition at work, but
want to do it right, so as to clear a path for those who follow me
at the same company.
